You will be reporting directly to the Operations Director and Human Resource Director JOB Purpose To implement strategy for HR management and development in the Plant including policy practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, contracts, morale and motivation, culture and attitudinal development, and quality management issues. Ensure the smooth running of the plant and provide full HR support as and when required.Key Role and Responsibilities Leadership, Teamwork and Resource Management Provides leadership for the effective achievement of the functional department objectives – developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal- in order to maximise individual and departmental performance. formal and informal feedback and appraisal- in order to maximise individual and departmental performance.Cost Control Monitor the financial performance of the HR Plant against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.Recruitment Responsible for man power planning for the organization (with a focus on plant) and close the position with the help of recruitment specialist. Run the interviews and take ownership of the process.Learning and Development Analysis of requirement and Implementation of training for the Operations Team. POM certifications Policies and Procedures Develop and recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Human Resources related activity so that all relevant procedural legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.Team Management Provides team leadership consistent with company vision and mission Establishes individual goals for team members in alignment with overall organization goals and performs periodic performance reviews to determine progress. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports Employee Relations Maintains accurate and complete employee files and other HR related information for plant employees Provides communication on departmental expectations, motivates team members, and identifies opportunity for improvements. Reviews request of employees in the plant to make sure that there proper accountability of all requests Ensures Policies are followed and provides guidance and discipline Participates in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives Investigates and arbitrates employee complaints and grievances, prepares reports of findings, and makes recommendations for action Interacts and maintains harmonious Industrial relations with Government and other official bodies Compensation and Benefits Administration Provides counselling and resource assistance in the areas of policy, benefits, salary administration Safety, Quality and Environment Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls across the Spares and Equipment section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products service and a responsible environmental attitude.COMMUNICATIONS and WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Internal – All the stakeholders in the plant. Regular interaction with all the employees. External – Government organization to understand the changes in rules and regulations.
